Michelle Whelan has been practicing Yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2006. She completed her teacher training at Yoga works in NYC and continues to return to the city, taking many different classes at a variety of studios. She is currently deepening her own practice as she works toward her 500 hour certification in the Pranakriya school of yoga.
A forever student of Yoga, her teachings constantly grow, change and evolve as does her life. She emphasizes proper alignment and keeping the body safe and supported during her practice, even during her favorite flowy and free vinyasas. She loves to focus on powerful breath techniques and is passionate about the quieter, Yin practice of yoga. She also compliments some of her classes by introducing students to the healing and calming properties of essential oils. She will be working with these oils during the Retreat.

She is living her dream by living near the Ocean in Ocean City, NJ with her husband and two young children.
